Two nights ago I spent way too much time fruitlessly trying to remember and then search for Craig Thompson's name and the title of the France book-- and here it is! I really loved that book--such an interesting take on the travel memoir genre. To your list, I'd add Jane Juska's "A Round-Heeled Woman." At the age of 65, Juska decides she wants to have, in her words, "a lot of sex" with a man she likes. She then takes out a classified in the rather upscale companions wanted section of the New York Review of Books. And then she... well... you've gotta read it. ;) What perfect timing!
