I'm settled in with my Flip Mino, which shoots in 720p HD ... and now even Youtube, that scourge of playback quality, is supporting HD videos. I think we do need to see a marked improvement in audio quality, even in "cheap" handheld recorders, but I'm not sure that mobile phone-quality video is the way forward. (And thanks for the podcast link :) -- We use a separate mic and manually sync sound in post-production to improve sound quality on ITP. Sometimes the Flip + a software boost is enough.)
