When in doubt, whip your Crank Brothers Multi-19 Tool out.

Whether you’re venturing out into the woods on your mountain bike or hitting the urban streets on your polished fixie, you need the Crank Brothers Multi-19 Tool in your back pocket.

It’s armed with hex wrenches, screwdrivers, open wrenches, spoke wrench, and a powerful chain tool. It weighs in at 175 grams and is small enough to knock out Rocky Balboa.

Oh yeah, it comes with an aluminum tool flask to protect the goods. What more can you ask for?

Minor Setback: It can’t fix everything on your bike.

Cost: $33 USD

Where to buy: REI.com

hey! I have that multitool, and have used most of it, though I have to admit I used a different chain tool when I had to install a new chain.

I must have an older version, it had a rubberized sleeve that went (I say went because I’ve since lost it) around it to keep it tidy.

Agreed. A good piece of gear. Now if they could only stick a pedal wrench on that thing…

I brought this along on my first adventure race. Not 3 miles into the mountain bike portion, we had to stop to adjust my clips. And I would have been in a lot of trouble without it. Love this little tool!

Not a bad-sounding deal for $33, though I have to agree with Eileen–chain tools on a multi-tool can be more trouble than they’re worth.
