The leaves are falling. The air is getting nippier each day.

No doubt, autumn is here.

Though the weather isn’t cold enough to pull out your heavy winter coats, the Montbell Ex Light Down Jacket is a practical alternative to your autumn fleece jackets.

Touted as the lightest down jacket on the market at just 5.7 ounces, it weighs less than a cotton t-shirt but provides the solid warmth and chill protection you get from a traditional fleece top.

It provides adequate insulation on those fall hikes or backpacking trips.

Made with 900 Fill Power Goose Down with a 7-denier Ballist Airlight ripstop nylon outshell, its design makes the Montbell jacket extremely warm, lightweight, and wind resistant.

There is a downside to this innovative jacket. Because of its ultralight design, it doesn’t work well in “high abrasion” situations such as contact with sharp objects and surfaces, as well as fire sparks.

A great buy for long term travelers who need to pack light!
