I hate having to sit down and open my pack up in order to get a few M&Ms into my mouth! Therefore I use this container made by Stanley. The handle is a carabeener and it clips onto the side of my backpack. This makes it extremely excessible when you are hiking. Personally this packing list seems massive to me and way more than I would ever want to pack, but on the other hand I have seen plenty of 100 pound girls carrying 60 pound 90 liter packs happily. At the start of 2008 I downsized from a 75 litre Black Wolf pack to a nifty little 45+8 litre Berghaus Anteus. It's great! I means my maximum weight can only be around 17 kilos as more than that and the harness starts to pull uncomfortably. I fully agree with the downsize and pack light mantra. It's the way to go.
