T-Mobile announced Thursday that they are allowing phone calls to Haiti free of international long distance charges.

In a press release on January 14th, T-Mobile informed customers that phone calls to Haiti would be free of the regular charges through January 31st, 2010. In addition, any T-Mobile customers currently in Haiti can roam the company’s partner networks (Voila and Digicel) free during this time period.

From USA T-Mobile president and CEO Robert Dotson:

“Our company and our employees care deeply for our customers, and we know that many customers have been directly impacted by the disaster in Haiti. While our thoughts go out to those in Haiti who are suffering so greatly at this time, our promise is to help people connect with those who matter most. I can think of no better time to demonstrate this commitment.”

No matter what service you use, you can donate $10 to the Red Cross by texting “HAITI” to 90999.
