This video demo beautifully illustrates how tablets will change the way you read magazines.

A collaboration between The Wonderfactory and Time, Inc., this video simulates flipping through an issue of Sports Illustrated on a tablet, like the highly rumored Apple iSlate. In addition to reading about the game, you can watch replays. Instantly send Tweets or Facebook updates of your favorite articles. And of course, there’s the “more lively” swimsuit issue to look forward to as well.

There’s been a lot of dark and depressing talk lately about where publishing is headed. The industry is changing, sure – for writers too – but if this is where we’re going, seems more like a revival than death to me.
